Gift Wrap Storage Products: Tame The Gift Wrap

Last Updated: October 2020

I’m not sure why, but I truly have a love affair with gift wrap. BUT…it’s definitely one of those household items that can get a bit unruly to store. Today’s post is all about taming your gift wrap clutter with gift wrap storage products.

In the days leading up to Christmas, most of us are surrounded by stacks of gifts that are in need of wrapping. Perhaps this is the only time of year you find yourself knee-deep in wrapping paper rolls, gift tags, and bows.

For many of us, we find ourselves frequently accessing gift wrap supplies throughout the year for wrapping birthday gifts, hostess gifts, Mother’s/Father’s Day gifts, and graduation gifts. Whether you use gift wrap supplies regularly or once a year, having an organized gift wrap storage system in place for these supplies will help you to complete the task of gift wrapping as painlessly as possible.

So let’s explore some common types of gift wrap storage solutions that you can consider in your quest to tame the gift wrap!

Gift Wrap Storage Products

ROLLING CARTS

Storing your gift wrap and accessories in a rolling cart enables you to roll it out to the location you want to use it (in front of the t.v. is a great spot for completing a marathon wrapping session), and then easily store it back in a corner of your room or in your closet when not in use.

The Container Store’s Elfa rolling cart is a great option. I also heart Home Decorators line of gift wrap rolling carts as well.

DOOR STORAGE SOLUTIONS

Utilizing vertical space in your home is a great way to increase storage space. Don’t have spare vertical space? Use the back of your doors.  Consider installing a door storage solution in a guest room, craft room, or even in your home office.

WRAPPING PAPER HUTCH

Here’s another option for going vertical:

This lovely wrapping paper hutch sits nicely on top of a desk or other flat surface and puts everything you need to create a festive package within arm’s reach.

(I would actually look forward to the task of gift wrapping if I had this setup, wouldn’t you?)

HANGING GIFT WRAP STORAGE

A hanging gift wrap storage station is another storage option that takes advantage of vertical space…within your closet (or on the back of the door, as in this example).

I love this solution because it offers the benefit of portability as well.

UNDER THE BED STORAGE SOLUTIONS

Another common place to store away wrapping paper is under the bed.  The shape of gift wrap rolls (small and long) make them great candidates for under-the-bed storage.  I

If this particular storage area of your home has been under-utilized, you may want to use an under-the-bed storage tote for corralling your rolls of gift wrap, as well as ribbon and gift tags.under the bed gift wrap storage box.
