This quote perfectly captures the evolution of Refined Rooms over the past 3+ years. When I first started this business in the fall of 2012, I set out to provide home decorating, real estate staging and professional organizing services throughout northeast Ohio. As time went on, I discontinued decorating and staging services in order to focus on my true passion…helping people to achieve their vision of an organized lifestyle.
Over the past few years, I’ve loved every minute that I’ve spent in clients’ homes and offices, partnering with them to declutter, set up systems, and create new habits. It’s an awesome feeling to make such a huge impact in a client’s quality of life by teaching them organizing skills. The experience of working one-on-one with organizing clients over the years has enabled me to “hone my craft” for sure, since organizing for yourself is completely different that organizing for someone else. Not only have I taught my clients, but they have certainly taught me a thing or two.
As the year draws to a close, I have made the decision to discontinue providing organizing services. In 2016, Refined Rooms will make the transition from a service-based business to a lifestyle blog. I’ll be writing regularly about home organizing, home decor, productivity and tech tools, with the occasional DIY project thrown in just for fun!
My vision for the future also includes the creation of several organizing resources that I’ll deliver via ebooks and online courses. I am so excited about the opportunity to expand my reach to help people achieve their organizing goals…no matter where they live!

With this massive change in the focus of Refined Rooms will come a massive redesign of the website/blog. Just to give you a heads-up, the site will be a work in progress for a bit, but I promise the end result will be worth it! So please be patient and stick with me folks. In the meantime, I will continue to post 2-3 times a week to the existing site.
Can’t wait to get going with the site redesign process; I’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop.
In the meantime, have a very Merry Christmas!
