Back in the day when I was home stager/redesigner, my job required quite a lot of creativity and out-of-the box thinking. Tight budgets often meant that we needed to use what the client had on hand to prepare a home for the market or complete the finishing touches on a room redesign project. Creative repurposing was the name of the game!
Today, I'm sharing some great examples of creative repurposing from around the blogosphere that you can use in your own home. I hope you find these repurposing/upcycling ideas inspiring...whether you are planning to sell, or you just love the idea of creating a new look using items that you already have.
Drapery panels are awesome for introducing color, pattern, texture, and softness into a room. Trouble is, they can be so darned expensive. You can create the look of expensive curtain panels by repurposing inexpensive tablecloths.
Would you believe that these gorgeous drapery panels were made out of a $6 tablecloth? Just add drapery clips and a rod, and you have a high-end designer look for not a lot of money. Be sure to hang your drapery panels high and wide to nail down that designer look to perfection.
