Today marks the official start of the holiday shopping season. I’m stressing out just a bit, since I am just beginning the holiday shopping process.
How are you faring?
I’m impressed by those of you who are done. If you’re like me and are just getting started, OR you just haven’t been able to find the perfect gift, then I’ve put together a mega list to help you find the perfect organizing gift this year.
Who doesn’t appreciate organization gifts?
I’ve hand-selected a group of awesome organizing products and tools at a variety of price points.
Many are products that I use and love already, while a few are items that made it on my Holiday Wish List this year. Maybe some of them might make it onto your wish list as well!

Organization Gift Guide for Organizing Lovers!
Don’t know about you, but cord organization is a major issue in our household of umteen devices. If you are like me and deal with the daily hassle of your phone charger falling behind your nightstand when it’s not plugged into your phone, then you’ll be as excited as I am about the Cord Buddy.
This weighted cord case controls your excess cord length, while keeping it secure on any flat surface. It’s an inexpensive problem-solver than anyone will appreciate.
Have a frequent traveler on your shopping list?
A travel adapter is a lifesaver on both international and domestic trips. It helps to lighten the electronic load in your suitcase since you can use it to simultaneously charge up to multiple devices.
I can’t be the only one out there who’s obsessed with beautiful office supplies, can I?
When organizing tools are pretty, they make organizing fun. I love the idea of creating a color-coded paper organization system with this collection of colorful binder clips. These have “awesome stocking stuffer” written all over them.
And to complement those binder clips, why not give a set of these pretty file folders?! These are a steal for a package of 24!
What better place to file your pretty file folders than in this sleek hanging file desk organizer. Regular readers know that I’m a huge fan of the desktop action file for keeping your household papers organized.
With the sleek, minimalist design of this tabletop file, paper organization never looked so good. And with this one, you have the option of hanging it on the wall to free up desk space even more!
Password management is a universal challenge in this day and age. If you know someone who struggles with this (and shies away from password management apps), then this Password Directory would make a terrific gift. It’s alphabetically organized to keep track of user names, passwords, and password hints for all of their accounts.
Pretty storage baskets made of materials like water hyacinth and seagrass are another obsession of mine. They add loads of natural texture to your space, while beautifully containing everyday items. I’m going to use a couple of these beauties for DVD/CD storage in my new great room redesign, so I’ve added them to my Christmas List.
They come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Fill one of these with some gourmet food items and line with a beautiful cloth napkin and voila, you’ve got a fabulous gift! They would be a gorgeous and functional way to store bathroom, closet, and pantry items.
No organizing gift guide would be complete without a label maker (labeling is one of the keys to maintaining an organized space, right?).
This Brother P-Touch D210 model offers all of the standard features in a cute, compact design and killer price point. It’s the label maker I used on the job every day as a pro organizer.
Label me happy!
Anyone who has spent any time digging through a purse to locate their keys, phone or lipstick will immediately appreciate a purse organizer. I don’t know how I kept my purse organized before purchasing one, honestly.
These purse inserts contain several compartments to keep everything organized. And they make switching out your purse a breeze.
Simply lift out the organizer from your current purse and place it in the new one.
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know how much I love products that take advantage of vertical storage space. CapRack is a great example of this. My husband has quite the collection of ball caps, as we have several CapRacks in place to beautifully manage them all.
This nifty product enables you to store a ton of hats on the back of your closet door or any unused expanse of wall space. If you’ve got a ball cap fanatic on your list, you can’t go wrong with this gift.
The Grid It! line of organizers made my hubby’s wish list this year. He’s a frequent traveler for work and has to manage quite a bit of tech gear in his travels.
He loved the idea of using this organizer to keep all of the tech gear together and under control in one place. These organizers come in a variety of sizes that can be used to organize other items (e.g., tools). Love Love Love!
If you’ve got a jewelry lover on your list, the Little Pink Dress Jewelry Organizer is a great find! Again, great use of vertical space, and so dang cute. If your jewelry lover is not a fan of pink, this organizer comes in several other colors. The Umbra “little black dress” line features other organizers for scarves, accessories, and toiletries too!
In this fab new book, Gretchin Rubin (of The Happiness Project fame) makes the case that by taking control of our stuff, we, in turn, take back control of our life. Countless people have been inspired to declutter and simplify as a consequence of this best-selling book.
It’s the new classic decluttering self-help book.
Probably the most versatile and functional of all organizing gifts would be the utility tote bag. But just because something is functional doesn’t mean it can’t also be gorgeous to look at!
Utility totes can be used as pool bags, to keep groceries organized in the car trunk, to schlep around sports equipment, you name it.
One of my main organizing mantras is that everyone needs a home command center to keep the family machine humming along. I’m a huge fan of the modular systems for creating a custom home command center, but I’m NOT a fan of the huge price tag that typically comes with them.
That’s why I was thrilled to learn about a new wall organization system from 1THRIVE that is just as fabulous as the high-priced systems, but MUCH more reasonably priced.
They offer so many options for creating a customized command center that is easy to install and stylish. Love the idea but want your gift recipient to have the opportunity to customize their organizing solution? Give a 1Thrive gift card. This organization gift is a huge winner in my book!
Anyone that lives in a house with stairs can appreciate the usefulness of a stair basket, which can serve as a central collection point for all of the stuff that eventually has to go upstairs. Without a stair basket, the stuff gets piled on the stairs until some good household samaritan relocates it to its proper place.
With piles of stuff on your stairs, you run the risk of someone tripping on the stuff and getting injured (not to mention your stuff getting damaged from being stepped on). Can you see why a stair basket makes a great gift? Especially true when the basket is as pretty as it is functional, like this one.
Another one of my favorite paper organization tools!
Portable file totes like this one provide a super-stylish way to keep your important documents sorted and undamaged. I use mine to carry work files on the go, but I know several others who use it as a desktop file to contain their action file papers. It functions as a file box but looks like a high-end handbag.
Hands down, THE best way to keep that suitcase organized during a trip is to use packing cubes. A good set of packing cubes is worth its weight in gold.
I’m partial to the Shacke Packing Cube set, I purchased this set for my husband several years ago and all of the cubes have held up perfectly through countless trips.
And the price is right!
The Tile Item Finder Chip/app made my “Favorite Things” list. In that post, I shared my Hubby’s issues with losing important items such as his phone and wallet on a fairly regular basis. When an organizing client introduced me to this clever tracking device, I immediately made a mental note to purchase Tile as a Christmas gift for my husband (shhh…it’s a secret).
If you or someone you love also deals with the annoyance of frequently lost items, the Tile Item Finder will be a priceless gift indeed.
FUJITSU SCANSNAP S1300i DOCUMENT SCANNER
Know someone who has vowed to “go paperless “? There’s no better gift for this person than a dedicated document scanner. The one I use and highly recommend is the Scansnap S1300i scanner. This tool has enabled me to become a Paperless Ninja of sorts.
Since it’s portable, I would often bring it to organizing sessions in my clients’ homes. When they saw how easy it was to use, several clients ended up purchasing one for themselves.
Scansnap scanners are both Mac and PC-compatible, so you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues if you live in a household with both Mac & PC users.
PICTURE KEEPER PHOTO BACKUP SOLUTION
Our digital photos are precious to us, so having a way to easily back them up is important. Giving a Picture Keeper device is giving the gift of peace of mind. Picture Keeper is a USB flash drive device that plugs into a computer and automatically finds and backs up all of the digital photos on the computer.
This gift would be most appreciated by the “low tech” person on your shopping list.
Whew…That’s a comprehensive list gifts for organized people (or those who aspire to get organized)! I hope that these organization gift ideas will inspire your holiday shopping.
Perhaps there’s an item (or two, or three) that you’d love? In that case, just forward this blog post along to your loved ones as part of your wish list.
Which items are you loving the most?

Great ideas! Thank you for sharing! The cord buddy and picture keeper would definitely meet needs on my list. And the purse organizer would be a simple way to keep things organized between diaper bag and purse. I’m visiting from the Friday Favorites linkup today. Have a great weekend Natalie!
