So I've been knee-deep in kitchen decluttering and spring cleaning these past two weeks (right there in the trenches with you guys who are participating in this month's kitchen organization challenge as part of this year's Organize & Refine Your Home Challenge).
I know that it can be tough to get started when it comes to the decluttering process. When you're having trouble, my best advice is to start with the low-hanging fruit so to speak...the "no brainer" items. As I went through my most recent kitchen declutter, I compiled a list of 10 "No Brainers" that you can immediately place into the "toss" pile.
THE KITCHEN DECLUTTER TOSS LIST
Hmmm. I’d venture to guess that this artisan salt has been in our spice drawer for a few years. Have we ever cracked it open? Not once. I’m guessing it’s past its prime by now. I can’t recollect why exactly we needed such an abundance of celery-related spices. I can say with certainty that we won’t be consuming celery salt in any way, shape, or form in this house.
Of course, when it comes to spices, it’s also important to take a look at the ones that you DO use. Those expiration dates tend to sneak up quickly, so be sure to take a good look at expiration dates during your declutter session.
